Interfaith Film Series Part 2: Arranged
Thursday, February 4 | 6:30-9:00pm | 88th Street Sanctuary
The BJ Interfaith Committee proudly continues the 2009-10 Film Series “Strangers in a Strange Land.” In Arranged, the second of three films, two young women, an orthodox Jew and a Muslim, forge a friendship across religious and cultural divides working together as teachers at a secular Brooklyn school. As their families set about arranging marriages for them, both women defy their family’s ideas of a suitable match, and help each other find true love. This movie about finding a soul mate and discovering new friends will appeal to all ages. An engaging roundtable discussion about the film’s themes will follow. Contact Shir Lerman for information.
